42Worcester

March is a very special month . . . The first 42 was held in the Cellar Bar under the Worcester Arts Workshop on March 24th 2011 – since then we have had a 42 every month for the past 15 years. There are very few Spoken Word events that have lasted this long. . . and we have never had to cancel a 42 – there was a January when the weather was so cold and the pavements were so icy that only a few of us in stout boots could get to the venue, but three cold people sitting around a table and reading our stories to each other made it a memorable 42, and in 2020 the Pandemic and the Lockdown happened in March, a week before our Birthday, but enough of us had got the hang of Zoom, so we still had an extraordinary online 42 . . . This is the only Spoken Word night for Gothic Horror, SF, Fantasy, Alternative Genre, Weird Stuff in the UK (possibly in the whole world!) . . . It’s a friendly and very inclusive night – everybody is welcome!

And our theme for our 15th Birthday in March is ‘The Best Party Ever’ . . . Enjoy!
